ORIGIN

Going way back … in 1997 is where I would credit the spark to my photography passion, but a little more about that below. While working at Polaris, BrianTripPhoto as a business idea took shape in 2017 after reading The Artisan Soul. This book helped me define what it means to be an artist and from there my own business idea grew. I wrote out my first plan and launched my own website to display my photography as art.

Next up? Learning, preparation and exploration while dreaming about “One Day.” And to be honest, I was attached to the comfortable in life and a little too fearful of the “what ifs.” The idea of starting my own business and replacing my work income sounded too daunting of a task.

Inevitably, some changes occured in my career and then sitting on the sidelines no longer made much sense. The learning, prep and exploring a photo and video business was now put to the test. In the summer of 2023, the comfort, excuses, obstacles and fear lost their hold. In August 2023, BrianTripPhoto was officially born to the public and off to races under Brian Triplett, LLC.

VISION

Building lasting connections. Keeping it simple: simple things grow, simple things multiply.

This begins with storytelling. Storytelling is what we have always used to communicate, learn and help each other. With telling stories, you are invited to go back to who we truly are. Not just subscribing to the next marketing trend, but being a natural storyteller.

You have a story in your business, lots of them. So I stick to the simple and help craft your story with photo and video. I utilize our experiences to ask the right questions and craft the right message for the right audience.

BRIAN TRIPLETT

THE START

I am a Jacksonville FL-based photographer and videographer with professional marketing and sales experience. Throughout my education and work life in sales and marketing roles, I did photography and filmmaking as a side hustle and hobby. My love for photography began as an adolescent on the pages of Nat Geo and Sports Illustrated magazines. In the late 90s I honed the basics of photography in a dark film room of an Arizona high school. I still own that camera!

CAREER

Photography transitioned from film to digital during my college years. At USF, I earned a degree in marketing and my focus shifted as I began my career at Bosch. My sales and marketing experience grew and photo and video moved to a side passion. In 2010, I became a product manager helping Bosch manage part of it’s cordless category. There, I gained a ton of useful experience in marketing and management with some added skills in photo and video. As a product manager I managed several product launches helping with product photography and worked alongside our brand marketing team and a film studio in Cali creating TV ads. At Polaris, I helped my dealers navigate the nuances of running a successful business while honing my photo and video skills on the side. I have some incredible stories from those days, traveled to some incredible places and did work life with some incredible individuals. Below are some highlights from those days.

INSPIRATION

I am 1 of 5 photographers in my family and I draw my inspiration for my work from my faith in Jesus, my family, my relationships, my life experience and the study of light. To me, the magic starts at serving others and this begins with listening. Listening, asking the right questions leads to discovering how I can best serve you and deliver an extraordinary result.
